A Kaizen foam alternative you don't cut yourself

Where DIY foam gets hard
- Tracing. Marker lines drift, and a traced outline is always a little bigger than the tool.
- Cutting. Knives wander on long straight edges and tight curves. Even with new blades, foam can catch and tear.
- Layout. Once you start, the layout is fixed, and you don't see the finished arrangement until the last pocket is cut. Moving a tool means starting over with fresh foam.
- Time. A full drawer of wrenches, pliers and screwdrivers is a lot of careful cuts.

When DIY foam is the better choice
If you need a drawer organized tonight, if your tools change every few weeks, or if lowest cost matters most, a sheet of layered foam and a sharp knife is hard to beat. Profoama is for the drawers you want done once and done right, especially full sets where every tool should have an exact home.
Some drawers aren't a good fit for any foam, DIY or ours: drawers crowded with loose piles, tools with long cords or hoses, very large or very small items, and soft goods that don't hold a fixed shape. Shadow foam works best when each item has a defined outline and a permanent home.
